Coverage
The goal is simple: full-strength WiFi everywhere you actually use it, the back bedroom, the finished basement, the garage, the backyard. We get there by placing access points where the coverage needs to be and feeding each one with a wired connection, so the signal stays strong at the far edges instead of fading the moment you leave the room with the router. Walk the whole house on one network and your phone hands off from room to room without you ever noticing.
Mesh vs. Wired
Mesh systems are everywhere because they are easy to buy. But every wireless hop between mesh units costs you speed and adds lag, because each unit has to relay traffic to the others over the air. A wired access point does not. It gets full bandwidth straight from the network, so coverage stays fast no matter how far it sits from the router. We hardwire access points wherever it is possible, and fall back to mesh only when running a cable truly is not, and we will tell you honestly which situation you are in.
Finished Homes
Most homes we wire are already finished and lived-in, and that is completely normal. We run cable the way it has always been done in existing homes, through basements, attics, and closets, fishing walls where we can and using clean surface conduit only where we must. You do not need open walls to get a properly wired network. It depends on what is slow. We do not change the speed of your internet plan, that comes from your provider. What we do is make sure the speed you already pay for actually reaches every room. If your connection is fast at the router but weak everywhere else, that is a network problem, and that is exactly what we fix. If the plan itself is too small for your household, we will tell you honestly.
It depends on scope. A few wired connections to key rooms usually run in the hundreds; a whole-home setup — wiring, ceiling access points, and the router and switch to tie it together — typically lands between $3,500 and $9,500, depending on your home’s size and how the cable has to run. The free assessment gets you a fixed quote before any work begins.
Often, yes. Many Toronto homes have phone lines that were run on network-grade cable — we can frequently turn those into real wired internet jacks without opening a single wall. We check for this during the assessment; when it works, it’s the cheapest wired network you’ll ever get.
Mesh can work in a smaller home or where running cable is impossible. But wired access points are faster, steadier, and do not lose speed the farther they sit from the router. Wherever we can run a cable, that is what we recommend.
